Adding items on iOS

What good are collections without stuff in them? Hold onto your phones because we're on a whistle-stop tour of all the ways you can add items to Dropmark from your Apple device.

Text

To add text press the blue ‘add’ button at the bottom of your screen and then choose ‘add text’ from the menu. This will take you to a new screen where you can input the title and text, before choosing which collection and stack to place the text in. Press the ‘add’ button in the top right corner, and the text will be saved.

Links

There are several ways of adding links to Dropmark on iOS.

If you want to add a link from within the Dropmark app simply press the add button at the bottom and click 'add link'. This will take you to a second window where you can input the link, give it a title, tag it, stack it, and all that good stuff.

If you want to add a link from Safari (or any other app you see the share icon) press the share icon and choose Dropmark from the list of apps. A pop-up will appear, and you can add a description to the link, along with allocating it to a collection, stack, and adding tags.

If you don’t see Dropmark as an option in the share menu, scroll to the end of the app logos and press on the ‘more’ icon. Scroll down until you see Dropmark, then flip the switch next to it to see Dropmark in the future. You can also reorder your apps so that Dropmark comes up early in the list if you so wish.

Photos and videos

Taken the best shot of a new piece of street art on your way to work? Add it easily to your Dropmark collection straight from your phone.

Start by going to your Photos app and select the image or images which you would like to upload. Then press the share button in the bottom left corner, and you’ll be taken to a new screen where you can choose to upload to Dropmark.

When you press on Dropmark a loading icon will appear, then when your phone has finished preparing the images for export, a window will appear where you can choose which collection to add the image to, what title and tags to add, and if you want to add the image to a stack.

Once you’ve added the information you want to press ‘done’ and your photos or videos will be sent to Dropmark.

Files

You can add files in the Dropmark app by pressing the add button and choosing ‘upload file’ and browsing the files on your phone including those in your iCloud Drive, and other apps like Dropbox. You can scroll through the files and choose which ones to upload to your collection.
