Comments and annotations

One of Dropmark’s best features for collaborating is the ability to comment and annotate on items within Dropmark, making getting feedback from your teammates a breeze. Commenting and annotating are only available to Solo and Team plans - but if you’re collaborating in a collection that a Solo user owns, all members can use Solo features like comments and annotations, even if they’re a Lite user.

Adding a comment

To add a comment, view the item you want to comment on and click on the speech bubble in the menu bar to view the comments tab. Write your comment in the textbox here - plus you can tag anyone in your collection so they get a notified and can check out your thoughts. You can also choose to notify everyone in your team of the comment via email by leaving the checkbox ticked.

Adding annotations

Annotations can be useful because you can be specific in your feedback to your teammates with arrows, paintbrush and highlighter tools. Point to changes with the arrow tool, draw shapes with the brush, and highlight edits with the highlighter. Annotations are saved along with an optional comment and can be toggled visible or hidden, so you can choose to hide the annotations if things have started to get a bit jammed.

To add an annotation to an item, view the item you want to annotate and click on the speech bubble in the menu bar to view the comments tab. Underneath the text box it the option to annotate, experiment with the different options, and when you’re happy click ‘post’.
